The morning routine is vital to clean your skin from all of the sweating and dirt that happens whilst your get that all-important beauty sleep and the night time routine is important before bed to prepare your skin to renew over the night. If you wear make-up; the worst thing you could do to yourself is sleep with it on. No matter how tired you are making this a priority will be the best decision you ever make. Your future self will thank you for it!
I have created this vital step by step guide to your morning skincare routine of what to use and when to use it;
1) Step one: Make Up Remover – Remove any residual eye make up with make-up remover
2) Cleanse- Massage cleanser into skin using circular motions, this step should take at least 30 seconds. Rinse and pat dry
3) Toner- Apply toner using a saturated cotton wool or cotton ball to entire face, allow 30 seconds to dry
4) Serum- Gently press serum into skin, allow 30 seconds for it to be absorbed
5) Eye Cream- Using your ring finger gently tap a small dab of eye cream into under the eye area
6) Moisturiser- Massage moisturizer into the skin and neck, starting from the bottom working upwards in motion
7) SPF- This step can be skipped only if you use a moisturizer with SPF. Otherwise it is completely vital as the sun ages your skin tremendously! Starting from your forehead working down (don’t forget you neck) apply an even coat of an SPF specifically designed for the face
For the nighttime routine it is all about cleansing the skin from all of the pollution and harshness of our day to day lives! Follow these steps no matter how tired you are in order to achieve flawless skin;
1) Make Up Remover- Every night without fails remove all makeup, be careful not to tug of full the eye area as it is very delicate
2) Cleanser- Every night massage cleanser into the skin using circular motions. This step should take at least 30 seconds. Rinse and gently pat dry
3) Exfoliate – One to two times per week gently exfoliate skin (Avoid eye area) Rinse thoroughly and pat dry
4) Toner- Every night when skin is fully dry, gently press toner over the entire face using a saturated cotton pad or cotton ball
5) Mask- One to two times per week apply your favourite mask over your entire face. Wait at least twenty minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
6) Serum- Every night gently press serum into skin over your entire face. Allow at least 30 seconds for it to be absorbed
7) Oil/ Emulsion- This step is optional but especially if you have dry skin it would be very beneficial. Gently press oil into the skin over your entire face. Allow at least 30 seconds for it to be fully absorbed
8) Eye Cream- Every night using your ring finger, lightly tap a small dab of eye cream into the under-eye area
9) Moisturiser- Every night massage moisturizer working from the bottom starting on from your neck
