Laser Treatments
+ LASER HAIR REMOVAL.
What is Laser hair removal?
Unwanted hair can be difficult to manage and hard to deal with. There are a number of traditional methods of removing unwanted hair: shaving, plucking, waxing, depilatory creams and electrolysis – all of which can be painful, time consuming and expensive over time. Shaving may last a day, waxing a couple of weeks, but none of them last forever – and therein lies the true beauty of laser hair removal.
Aspire Beauty & Aesthetics offers two different types of permanent hair reduction. These are diode and ND: Yag laser hair removal. Our experienced therapist will use the laser hair removal method that will be the most effective for your skin and hair growth type.
Not all lasers are equally effective for all the different combinations of hair types and skin colour. For this reason, KSR Aesthetics offers the following laser systems to ensure optimal hair removal.
Can I get my treatment on the same day of enquiring? You will be required to have a test patch before your sessions in order to get the right setting for your skin colour.
Can I get my treatment if my skin has tanned via sunbeds or holidays? You will not be allowed to have a laser hair removal session if you have been tanning naturally or artificially. If you have recently had a spray tan we suggest you wait until it has completely faded to get your laser hair removal.
How many sessions will I need for effective treatment? With regular sessions of every 4-6 weeks, you may require 6-12 laser hair removal sessions until your hair growth is permanently reduced, however everyone varies, then on after you will only need maintenance sessions which are typically once every 6 months.
Can all hair colours be treated? Lasers and IPL work best on dark hair because the pigment melanin absorbs the laser light. Fair hair can respond well, but white hair, grey hair, very blonde hair and some types of red hair respond poorly to lasers and IPL’s unless stained using a special melanin encapsulating solution.
Can all parts of the body be treated? Using the latest laser technology, we can treat all areas of the body quickly, safely and effectively.
Are there any after-effects following treatment? Redness, and some discomfort of the area (like sunburn) may be present for the first few days following treatment. Blistering may occur in a small minority of patients, and this settles without treatment in a few days. Rarely, the pigment in the skin may be affected resulting in the treated area appearing lighter or darker. This almost certainly settles in time.
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Avoid Sun Exposure for 2 Weeks: Avoid sun exposure and/or usage of a tanning bed, including self-tanning products such as spray tan and tanning lotion for a MINIMUM of 2 weeks BEFORE and AFTER treatment. If you know you will get incidental sun exposure, i.e., driving to and from work, walking from your car to the house, etc., we recommend physical avoidance of the sun in all treated areas in conjunction with a protective hat and a full spectrum sun block of SPF 30+. For your safety, our providers will assess your degree of suntan at the time of each appointment; if you are deemed too tan then we will not administer treatment. If your appointment is cancelled due to noncompliance, you will be charged the full value of the service.
- Arrive Clean Shaven (no stubble): Shave the areas to be treated 12-24 hours before treatment. Any hair that you would like to keep in the treatment area, i.e., goatee or moustache in beard area or “landing strip” or “mohawk” in the bikini area, should be kept unshaved or trimmed. If you are unable to shave the following two areas by yourself: 1) back or 2) posterior neck, you may inform us when scheduling the appointment and our providers will do so for a fee of £25.00. All other areas, including Brazilian bikini, must be shaved prior to arriving for your treatment. If you arrive unshaved for your appointment, we will not administer treatment. If your appointment is cancelled due to noncompliance, you will be charged the full value of the service.
- Remove Makeup, Lotion, & Deodorant Before Treatment: Areas to be treated must be clean and free of any lotion, makeup, sunscreen, and deodorant. Baby wipes will be provided upon request.
- No Accutane for 6 Months Before Treatment: Accutane must be discontinued for at least 6 months prior to receiving any laser treatment
- No Photosensitizing Medications or Antibiotics for 10 Days Before Treatment: Some antibiotics and other medications can make you sun sensitive and because the laser contains light, treatment while taking these medications can increase the risk of adverse event. If you have started taking oral antibiotics (Minocycline, Tetracycline, etc.), wait at least 10 days after finishing your antibiotic regimen before getting treatment. (Long term antibiotic therapy OK – please ask your provider if you have questions about this.) If you are not sure whether the medication you are taking is photosensitizing, please ask your prescribing physician prior to your appointment.
- Rashes, Yeast Infections, & Other Skin Irritations are Contraindicated: If you are suffering from any of these skin issues, we will not administer treatment until skin is healed.
- No Chemical Peels for 2-4 Weeks Before or After Treatment.
- No Retin-A, Renova, Differen, Tazorac, etc. for 1-2 weeks Before or After Treatment.
- Avoid Waxing, Tweezing, Threading, Electrolysis, Chemical Depilatories, & Bleaching for 46 Weeks Before Treatment and Between Treatments. Shaving is recommended.
- Pregnancy is Contraindicated: You may not be pregnant for any treatment.
- No Treatment Over Tattoos: Notify provider of tattoos in treatment area as they must be avoided.
- Notify Us of All Changes to Health or Medications: During the course of your treatments, notify us of any changes to your medical history, health status, or personal activities that may be relevant to your treatment.
DURING TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Laser and/or procedure-specific protective eye wear will be worn by patient and all personnel during the procedure.
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- After treatment you may feel like you have a mild to moderate sunburn. The skin may also itch and feel irritated.
- Wash the area gently twice a day. Avoid bathing or washing with hot water. Use tepid (lukewarm) water.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and the use of tanning beds for at least 2 weeks after your treatment.
- Avoid using deodorant on the treated areas for 24 hours or until skin is no longer irritated.
- No exercise, Jacuzzi, sauna, or steam baths if any skin irritation exists.
- Avoid stimulating (i.e. rubbing or scratching), the areas treated for at least 24 hours or if irritated.
- Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatories on the hair that grows back. After treatment hair may continue to grow as if it were never treated. Typically this will occur for about 2 weeks after the treatment when these hairs will simply grow out and then fall out. This may occur within 4-6 weeks for the upper body and possibly as long as 2-3 months for the lower body. Hair regrowth occurs at different rates on different areas of the body. In the meantime, NEW hair growth can begin growing in the treated area as early as the day after your treatment. This will likely result in “patchiness” throughout the treatment series which is normal and expected. 8. Shaving is allowed 24-48 hours after treatment as long as there is no skin irritation.

+ MICRONEEDLING.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling creates microscopic punctures in the skin. Microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for the purposes of rejuvenation. It is made up of micro-fine needles that range in diameter from 0.25- 0.5 (for the face) and 1- 2.5 millimeters (for the body such as for stretch marks and cellulite reduction).
How does microneedling work?
Microneedling increases the production of collagen and other healing factors by causing trauma to the skin. Collagen is an essential protein that helps keep the skin looking youthful, with a firm, smooth, and stretchy texture. Aging causes the decline of collagen in the skin, contributing to wrinkles and other signs of aging. Skin can also lose collagen due to injuries, such as acne scarring, stretch marks, or other scars.
What can microneedling be used to treat?
Microneedling may help address many skin-related complaints, including: wrinkles, scarring, acne, alopecia, skin pigmentation issues, stretch marks, rosacea or loose skin, such as after weight loss or liposuction. It may also help rejuvenate the skin.
Is microneedling painful?
If the prospect of multiple needle wounds sounds painful to you, know that the punctures are more like pinpricks that enter only surface-level deep. They are not painful.
Are the results immediate?
Microneedling offers fairly immediate results. From microneedling alone, you will look plump, pink and luminous for a couple of weeks. On a short-term basis, it plumps the skin and makes the skin look more radiant from inflammation and very superficial swelling.
How many treatments will I need?
It is important to realize that microneedling is not a quick fix, as it involves the growth of new skin. It can take 3-6 treatments for a person to see the full results of the procedure. Every individual is different so results cannot be guaranteed.
Can I wear make-up after microneedling?
Please allow 24 hours before applying any make up as the skin is sensitive after microneedling.
Is there any downtime after microneedling?
Some people need 24 hours for redness to reduce. Some people need three days for skin to heal completely, however each individual is different.
Can I do other facial treatments on my face at the same time as microneedling?
Yes, however if it is microdermabrasion we advise a weekly gap in between treatments.
+ MICRODERMABRASION.
What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions.
The procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin to rejuvenate it.
How does it work?
Microdermabrasion is a treatment in which the face is sprayed with exfoliant crystals to remove dead epidermal cells. People might choose to get the procedure if they have the following skin concerns; fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, age spots and brown spots, enlarged pores and blackheads, acne and acne scars, stretch marks, dull-looking skin complexion, uneven skin tone and texture, melasma and sun damage.
What type of microdermabrasion do you offer at Aspire Beauty & Aesthetics?
At Aspire Beauty & Aesthetics we offer crystal microdermabrasion which uses a crystal-emitting handpiece to gently spray on fine crystals to rub away outer layers of the skin. Dead skin cells are suctioned off right away.
The different types of crystals that may be used include aluminum oxide and sodium bicarbonate.
How long does microdermabrasion take?
Microdermabrasion usually takes about one hour.
Is microdermabrasion safe?
Microdermabrasion is considered a safe procedure for most skin types and colours.
Do I have to do anything to prepare for microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a nonsurgical, minimally invasive procedure. There’s very little you need to do to prepare for it. We will discuss your skin concerns in a phone consultation to find out if microdermabrasion is the right fit for you. You should let us know about any past cosmetic procedures and surgeries you have had, as well as allergies and medical conditions.
You should avoid sun exposure, tanning creams, and waxing for about a week before treatment. As well as stopping using exfoliating creams and masks approximately three days prior to treatment.
We will remove any makeup and cleanse your face before the procedure begins, however we do prefer if you attend your appointment make up free.
What will I need to do after my microdermabrasion treatment?

What is radio frequency heat facial?
Radiofrequency (RF) is a treatment that has become increasingly popular in recent years and uses RF energy to heat the dermis and tighten the skin without damaging the top layer.
How does radio frequency heat facial work?
The radiofrequency energy is used to tighten the underlying skin structure and contour the face to create firm, toned and youthful looking skin. It’s this tightening, firming action, brought about by boosting collagen and elastin synthesis, that makes radiofrequency especially suitable for targeting loose skin and the neck and chin, wrinkles and lines that develop between the nose and mouth.
Is radio frequency heat facial effective?
Yes it is highly effective however you need multiple treatments. All energy based bio-stimulative treatments naturally require a course of several sessions (from six to 12) and will induce benefits gradually over some months. During the treatment a machine will heat skin to a bearable 38-40 degrees, some individuals have zero discomfort although some people are more sensitive to the deep heat sensation than others.
Can I wear make-up after radio frequency heat facial?
Please allow 24 hours before applying any make up as the skin is sensitive after microdermabrasion.
Can anyone get a radio frequency heat facial?
As it’s a heat based treatment it’s likely to cause further inflammation and make redness worse if you’ve got rosacea, and it’s not advisable if you’ve got broken blood vessels or capillaries. As with most aesthetic treatments, it’s also not suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.

With regards to when it is done on the body, unlike some other fat reduction methods, this treatment is completely painless, has no downtime and provides an even, feathered result without surface irregularities which can a problem with other technologies. It feels like a hot stone face massage – you do feel heat in the skin but it's comfortable.
Can I do other facial treatments on my face at the same time as radio frequency heat facial?
Yes you can without any restrictions, however we do not recommend doing filler treatments for up to 3 months before your radio frequency heat facial.

+ PIGMENTATION TREATMENT.
What is pigmentation treatment?
At Aspire Beauty & Aesthetics, we have various treatments to treat pigmentation:
Laser treatment is one of the most advanced treatments for removing unwanted pigmentation on the skin such as age spots, sun-spots, and freckles. A laser peel (resurfacing) treatment uses targeted beams of light to reduce hyperpigmentation. There are two types of lasers: ablative and non-ablative. Ablative lasers are the most intense, and they involve removing layers of your skin. Non-ablative procedures, on the other hand, target the dermis to promote collagen growth and tightening effects. Ablative lasers are stronger, but they may cause more side effects. Both destroy elements in your skin to ensure that new skin cells grow back tighter and more toned. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to skin resurfacing. Ablative lasers may work better for people with fair skin. For some people, non-ablative versions may cause the skin to darken instead of lighten. We will work with you to assess your discoloration and overall skin tone to select the best option for your skin.
IPL therapy is a type of non-ablative (fractional) laser treatment. Also known as a photofacial, IPL therapy stimulates collagen growth within the dermis. It usually requires multiple sessions. IPL is used for overall pigmentation issues, but flat spots especially respond to this treatment. It also helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, spider veins, and enlarged pores.
Face Peel which peels off the first layer of the epidermis and leaves a more even skin tone underneath. This works by exfoliating, or shedding, the top layer of your skin. Whenever you exfoliate your skin, new skin cells emerge to take the place of the old ones. The process helps even out your skin tone and makes it smoother overall.
Chemical Peel which uses acids at stronger concentrations to treat the desired area of skin. They reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation by removing the epidermis. Deeper versions may also penetrate the middle layer of your skin (dermis) to produce more dramatic results. Chemical peels best work if you have; age spots, sun damage, melasma and/ or blotchy skin
Microdermabrasion, we will use a drill-like handheld tool with a wire brush or other abrasive attachment. The tool is then swiped across your skin to rapidly — but gently — to remove the epidermis. You may need multiple sessions to achieve your ideal result.
Dermabrasion also involves the removal of your epidermis, but its effects continue down to part of your dermis. While dermabrasion is sometimes used to smooth out wrinkles, the procedure has been historically used to address texture concerns. These include; acne scars, age spots, chickenpox scars, injury scars, sun damage. As with microdermabrasion, we will use a drill-like handheld tool with a wire brush or other abrasive attachment. We will move the tool across your skin to rapidly — but gently — to remove your entire epidermis and the top part of your dermis. Dermabrasion may be a good option if you’re looking to decrease pigmentation at a faster rate than microdermabrasion. It works best for fairer skin. People with medium skin tones may go on to develop further hyperpigmentation as a result of the procedure. The new patches of hyperpigmentation may lighten after about eight weeks.
Is pigmentation treatment effective?
The different treatments available at Aspire Beauty & Aesthetics for pigmentation are all effective, however we will have a consultation to choose the most effective one to suit your skin type and the severity of your pigmentation.

Beauty
+ MICROBLADING.
What is microblading?
Microblading is a type of eyebrow architecture using a needle/ blade. It is all about creating the best shape for each face – a totally bespoke approach for each client. The needle very finely implants featherweight strokes with a medical grade pigment on the epidermis layer for the skin, creating fine, realistic and natural hair strokes
How does microblading work?
The process is very precise thanks to the tool that is used which is effectively like a pen with the nib being a sloped blade with 10-12 little needles at the end - needles that don’t penetrate the skin but just delicately scratch the surface, much like a paper cut.
How is microblading eyebrows different to having your brows tattooed?
Microblading, unlike tattooing, is not in the deep layer of skin, but more on the surface. This is also not permanent, and the colour fades within 18 months.
The hair strokes are far more natural and finer than any tattoo, as a handheld needle/blade is used – there is no electrical gadget that permeates deep in this technique. There is therefore more of a scratching noise, rather than a buzz of a tattoo gun which pierces the skin so deeply.
Can you be allergic to microblading?
There are people who are sensitive and allergic to some pigments, but in my experience this is extremely rare. We will always perform a patch or scratch test to check you are not allergic prior to the treatment.
Can I wear make up after microblading?
Please allow 24 hours before applying any make up as the skin is sensitive after skin tightening treatment.
Is there any downtime after microblading?
Some people need 24 hours for redness to reduce, however each individual is different.
Is microblading painful?
The first pass of the blade is not painful but uncomfortable. After the first pass there is a local numbing oil applied and you will a scrating feeling. It doesn’t hurt as such, it is more a sensation. The process itself is not painful thanks to the numbing ointment that is applied. It's sometimes the sound of the blade which people find worse – a small scratching sound.
The whole process is very quick – it's actually the numbing which takes most of the time (50mins), you aren’t under the needle for the whole 2 hours.
How many treatments of microblading will I need?
You will need a top session which will be included in the cost of your treatment.
Why is there a top up session and when does this happen?
The top up session happens after 6-8 weeks. This is the time where our phi brow artist can assess the first steps and add in any further strokes and add a darker pigment if preferred.
What happens in the mean time?
You'll need to follow the after care instructions (see below) and avoid any picking or scratching. Your eyebrows will start to heal over, much like a tattoo, which might cause irritation but is totally normal.
In the next ten days or so your eyebrows will change colour, might become flaky and look like they've faded but this is totally normal. They'll reveal their final colour and shape after around 30 days. This can then be topped up at the second session.
How do you know what shape to go for? Should we bring pictures?
Clients are welcome to bring in images of the style of brow they like, or come in with the brow make up they normally wear on a day to day basis – but I'll determine the colour and shape to use from our phi brow artists years of experience.
How do you get the right colour?
People come in and tend to want darker than the phi brow artist suggests, but it's always better to go a little more natural – you can always add more into the top up session for a darker colour.
Our phi brow artist will look at your hair colour, eye colour and skin tone using the Fitzpatrick Chart, which also takes into account how your skin will change with sun exposure etc., to ensure the correct colour pigment choice.
How do you get the right shape?
Our phi brow artist will measure up your eyebrows using a Microblading Ruler to choose the perfect shape of brow which is individual to each client. Based on this, will then freehand the final shape.
How long does microblading last?
Microblading lasts anything between 12-18 months, but the longevity of the pigment will depend on your skin type.
People with slightly more oily skin will tend to last around the 12 month mark before needing a top up, but those with normal skin can last up to 18 months.
Your brows will eventually fade away if you don’t continue with top ups every 18 months or so. There is no scaring or discolouration with the pigments used, so you wouldn’t know if you left them to fade out.
Can I do facial treatments on my face at the same time as microblading?
No you must wait for your brow to be fully healed before getting any facial treatment that will involve your eyebrows being touched as you will be scabbing and healing.
Can microbladed eyebrows be undone/removed?
Yes – the pigment used leaves no scarring or discolouration, and we can use a salt/saline solution to remove microbladed brows.
It is very important to know and understand that brows will be up to 40% darker in shade for the first 7-10 days during the healing process where scabs can form and flake off.
Clients can sometimes leave the studio, and two days later be terrified that their brows are too dark, but please be patient – as this is totally normal! After 7-10 days, you will begin to see the final colouring.
Tips for microblading:
In Advance...
- Do not pick, tweeze, wax or have electrolysis one week prior.

Fillers & Anti-Aging Treatments
+ FILLERS.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Fillers, provide a smooth, long lasting correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and add volume to lips. The filler we choose varies from patient to patient. Our experience allows us to choose the filler that best suits each clients need.
Filler is typically based on the natural bodily substance hyaluronic acid, yet is derived from non-animal sources, is bio-compatible and biodegradable. It is therefore extremely gentle on the skin and requires no pre-test.
Filler is injected with a micro-needle into the selected area, effectively giving immediate volume where the body’s own hyaluronic acid resources have been depleted. It is a minimally invasive treatment so recovery time is short and you can return to your daily activities immediately.
